The event attended by key stakeholders including the design and construction team, the Fire Chief, Fire and Rescue personnel, representatives from the Select Board and Fire Station Building Committee, members of the community and local media was held on site on June 23.
A hose de-coupling ceremony with remarks from featured speakers including Chief Robert Moran, replaced the traditional ribbon cutting and marked the official completion and grand opening of the new 24,000 plus square foot facility which will be the new home of the fire and rescue departments for the town.
The Cape Cod inspired design features 2 large apparatus bays, new offices, state of the art training and operations facilities, living quarters, fitness center and common areas as well as state of the art alerting system technology throughout the building.
“We were honored to be chosen as the construction partner on this landmark project. We know a new state of the art fire house was a much needed and long awaited asset within the community. We could not have been more pleased with the outstanding spirit of cooperation and professionalism that existed among the team throughout every phase of the project. Delphi is proud to have played a role, together with the architect, engineer, owners project manager, Chief Robert Moran, the building committee and all of the other contributors who worked together to make this project such a success. Most of all, Delphi would like to congratulate the residents of the Town of Brewster on the acquisition of a facility of which they can be truly proud.” Freitas said.
