NEI General Contracting Wraps Up Construction on Village at Nauset Green for Pennrose, LLC

"Affordable and workforce apartment development creates 65 units"BOSTON – November 4, 2020 – NEI General Contracting, an award-winning general contractor and construction management firm, announced today the completion of Village at Nauset Green for Pennrose, LLC in Eastham, Mass. The $16.4 million, 65-unit development provides much needed affordable and workforce housing by offering 39 affordable units for people earning 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), 11 affordable units for people earning 30 percent of the AMI, and 15 workforce units. Four units are ADA accessible.Designed by The Architectural Team (TAT), the design aims to evoke the local Cape Cod style and create a small village feel for residents and the community at large. The Commonwealth’s evolving law governing marijuana usage presents profound challenges for Massachusetts employers seeking to protect their customers, employees and themselves. This article will briefly examine some of the current trends in marijuana laws, highlight employers’ rights and duties to address marijuana use in the workplace and provide helpful hints for employers to craft policies that address marijuana use among employees.The legalization of recreational marijuana started in 2016 with a ballot initiative by Massachusetts voters.
