Gould Construction Institute's Fool Proof Leader Series To Launch Next Week

The Gould Construction Institute’s Fool Proof Leader Series is set to begin on October 12th and will cover a broad range of skills that your employees from administration to upper management can access from the comfort of their desks.

The series is designed for construction business owners seeking to develop future leaders within their organizations. It is designed for project managers, superintendents, foremen, engineers, estimators, financial managers, operations managers, and others–whether new or experienced in their roles.

Students will learn the core skills managers need to be successful. They will develop a strategic mindset that results in personal and professional growth. They will find out their native leadership style and how to adapt to changing business situations and conditions. Graduates of the program increase the value they contribute to their organizations.

The series will be taught by fellow ABC member and longtime friend of our chapter, Ellen Dorian. She is a certified business coach and leadership strategist with more than 20 years of experience helping her clients develop their potential, focus on big picture goals, and groom future generations of executives within their companies.

“Ellen Dorian is skilled at leadership development and helping individuals and organizations improve their performance,” said ABC MA President and CEO Greg Beeman. ABC has worked with Ellen on a number of successful programs and I personally have benefitted from her coaching.”

Among the work Ellen has done with ABC is to facilitate the Massachusetts Sheet Metal Contractors Roundtable. “Ellen’s communication, time management and ability to understand people are among her man strengths,” says Tim Hathaway, the president of Larkin Hathaway and participant in the Sheet Metal Contractors Roundtable. “Ellen also brings to the table an understanding of the construction industries and its processes.”

The series includes eight courses, one per month, for eight months. Each course is broken into two-hour sessions, with additional time for discussion and questions.

You may register for individual courses or for the whole series.
