ABC Member LC Anderson, Inc Nominated for ACCA's Contractor of the Year

ABC member LC Anderson, Inc has been chosen as one of four finalists in the commercial category for the Air Conditioner Contractors of America’s (ACCA’s) 2020 “Contractor of the Year” awards.
LC Anderson was established in 1943 as a GE appliance store and eventually morphed into a full-service provider of industrial heating, air conditioning and refrigeration services. It was purchased by Warren and Barbara Hudson in 1995. In 2013, company leadership transitioned to Warren and Barbara’s sons, Karl and Kurt Hudson, who are now co-owners and co-presidents of the growing 55-employee firm.
Today, property managers, facility managers, and building owners throughout Eastern Massachusetts trust LC Anderson to design, build and service their HVACR systems. The firm’s repeat customers include some of the largest and most well-respected corporate office properties, healthcare facilities, biotechnology firms, school campuses, restaurants and breweries in the greater Boston area.
LC Anderson has 10 engineers on its staff, which sets them apart from most companies of their size, and this has proven to be a key advantage, since it ensures their customers that on-paper designs translate into successful, fully workable end results.
The company is marked by a strong commitment to its employees, every one of whom is invited to participate in LC Anderson’s annual strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats analysis.
Principals Karl and Kurt Hudson are active in the local construction industry. Karl just completed his term as 2019 Chairman of Associated Builders and Contractors’ Massachusetts Chapter, and Kurt continues to work with local colleges and universities to provide internship opportunities and continued development for the next generation of HVACR technicians.
ACCA’s Contractor of the Year awards are given out annually to one commercial contractor and one residential contractor. This award represents the values of an ACCA contractor member that goes above and beyond to create a positive and safe work environment for its employees, and to promote a positive image of the HVACR industry to the public. Additionally, the contractors must demonstrate growth within the HVACR industry through innovative strategies, and to have a positive impact on their local community.
The 2020 Contractor of the Year awards will be presented during ACCA’s 2020 Conference & Expo, to be held March 16 – 18 in St. Louis, MO.
