We strive to help ABC members develop and maintain effective and innovative safety programs. Safety services available to members at no charge include sample safety manuals, jobsite poster kits, OSHA compliance information, safety updates and a safety video library. Members can also purchase a CD of Tool Box Talks, as well as safety programs and procedures for the construction industry. Through the Gould Construction Institute, ABC members receive quality safety training at special member rates. The Gould Institute also has an active Safety Committee.

Safety Audit for S.T.E.P. program
Each year our Safety and Training Awards Dinner, presented in conjunction with our Gould Construction Institute, draws broad participation from ABC members. The event includes safety seminars, a safety marketplace with the latest safety products and information, and our safety awards presentation.
Safety awards are based on ABC's acclaimed Safety Training an Evaluation Process (STEP). Award levels are based not only on a firm's safety statistics but also a comprehensive self audit of twenty key components of a company's safety program. Each year, participation in this program has steadily increased and many of our contractors have gone on to attain top national ABC safety awards
