ABC Member James Grillo Receives "Super Lawyer" Nomination

Congratulations are in order for ABC Massachusetts member James G. Grillo, who was named a 2019 “Super Lawyer.”  James practices at Davagian Grillo & Semple LLP is Sudbury, where nearly a third of his practice is in construction litigation.

Super Lawyers is a peer designation awarded to only a small number of lawyers in each state.  The organization uses a patented multiphase selection process that combines peer nominations and evaluations with independent research. Each candidate is evaluated on 12 indicators of peer recognition and professional achievement. The objective is to create a credible, comprehensive and diverse listing of outstanding attorneys that can be used as a resource for attorneys and consumers searching for legal counsel.

In addition to earning his JD with honors from Widener University School of Law in 1997 and then clerking for a Jew Jersey state court judge, James also has a Bachelors Degree in civil and environmental engineering.  In 2000, he decided to put his undergraduate degree to work when he moved to a boutique law firm specializing in complex litigation focused on public and private contracts, construction and engineering-related matters.

With a background in civil and environmental engineering to go along with his legal expertise, Jim offers a unique set of skills to fellow ABC members seeking legal representation.
